Otiya is built around a simple idea: giving people something to do together, not just something to watch.

Families and friends
Choose a ready-made quiz, write your own, or ask otiya AI to build one around almost any subject.
Players join from their phones with a five character code or a QR code. No app to download, and no account at all for the people playing.
That makes it work for quiz nights, birthdays, weddings, reunions and any gathering where people are already in the same room.
It also works when they are not. Share your screen on Zoom, Meet or Teams and the room stretches as far as the call does. Cousins in three time zones answer the same round and land on the same podium.
Otiya Kids
Built for children aged 6 to 12, and free.
- A grown-up runs it. You set it up, you can skip a question, and you can stop whenever.
- No accounts for children. Not a name, not an age, not a score. Nothing leaves the device.
- Nobody has to read. Questions can be read aloud, so a six year old plays the same game as a ten year old.
- Nobody has to lose. Awards name every child for something real, and the podium is a choice rather than the default.
Children take turns on one shared device, and the screen fills with whoever is next. Choose how many rounds so nobody is short: three children and four rounds is twelve questions.
Ten packs are ready to play, covering maths, science, space, countries, music, animals, the human body and how things work. Every game pulls a different mix, so the same pack is not the same game twice.
Classrooms and learning
For revision, classroom activities and checking understanding.
Write the questions yourself, ask otiya AI to generate them, or attach a document and get questions from the material you already have. You read every one and decide what stays before anybody plays.
The class answers on the phones already in their pockets. Nothing to install, no pupil accounts to set up, and the marking is finished before the bell.
Where the class is big enough, split it into teams. Two up to six, balanced automatically as people join.
Teams and workplaces
Ten minutes at the start of a meeting, hosted from whoever is sharing their screen. Remote colleagues are not watching other people have fun, they are playing the same round.

Useful for public awareness, community education, volunteer training, campaigns, workshops and fundraising events. Build the questions around the issue you work on, and find out what the room already knew.
Nonprofits pay nothing. We will write a quiz pack with you, on your issue, in your name, and any host anywhere can run it.
Events and prize draws
Conferences, community events, parties, fundraisers. Use a quiz as an icebreaker, run a competition between tables or teams, then finish with the draw.
Four ways to draw a winner, each with its own build-up.
- Wheel. The classic spin, best on a big screen where everyone watches it slow down.
- Reel. Names roll past like a slot machine and land on one. Quick, and good for several draws in a row.
- Cards. Face-down cards turn over one at a time, for the slow reveal.
- Drum roll. Exactly what it sounds like.
Add the names by typing them, pasting a list, or bringing in everyone who played your last quiz. Name each prize so the reveal says what they have actually won.
The scoring happens as people answer, so there is no marking break and no arguments about the answer sheet.
Play on your own
Not every quiz needs a host. Play any of the packs on your own to test yourself, revise, or explore a subject in your own time.
In solo play with an AI-written quiz, each answer comes with a one line explanation, so a wrong answer teaches you something rather than just costing you a point.

Once a month everyone plays the same quiz at the same time. Lagos, London, Toronto, wherever you are, answering the same question in the same moment and watching the same board move.
